Making of A Geisha Inspired Art Sculpture

I have always been so intrigued and fascinated by the geisha.  I think it all started when I watched the film, “Memoirs of a Geisha” based on the book by Arthur Golden.  I never thought that I would ever paint or draw a geisha so when I signed up for a workshop by Kara Bullock Art I was thrilled.

I've learned a lot going through the documentaries Kara shared with us. And was amazed with all the beautiful gowns, hair and makeup. Since I've been creating mixed media art dolls using paperclay.
I've decided to create my first ever Geisha inspired art sculpture.

Here are some pictures:

She is one of my most precious and inspired art sculptures I ever made. I love to see how she has turned out and seeing my art in 3D.

Hope this post inspires you to try new things and to look forward to creating what you love.
