For years, my tattoo felt like beautiful art etched across my back — an expression of strength, resilience, and personal meaning. But recently, I realized it holds something far deeper: a living elemental mandala I have been carrying with me all along.
On my left shoulder, a purple dragon coils in fire. Fierce, protective, and wise, it is the volcanic force of creation, the flame of transformation, and the reminder that my inner fire cannot be contained.
On my right shoulder, a peacock spreads its radiant feathers. Symbol of air, grace, and divine renewal, it carries the freedom of wings and the promise of rebirth. Where once I thought I had a phoenix, I now see the peacock’s shimmering message: beauty, dignity, and expansion beyond limitation.
Across my lower back, two koi swim through waves. They embody the perseverance of water — flowing with life’s currents, resilient against obstacles, ever-guided toward abundance.
At the base, lotus blossoms rise from the mud. Rooted in earth yet reaching toward the light, they ground me, reminding me that my growth and beauty come from all that I have endured.
Together, these symbols form a mandala of balance:
- Fire in the dragon’s flame,
- Air in the peacock’s feathers,
- Water in the koi’s flow,
- Earth in the lotus bloom.
This isn’t just body art — it is my soul’s blueprint inscribed on my skin. A reminder that I already carry within me the medicine of balance, the power of transformation, and the wisdom of the elements.
What I once thought of as decoration, I now see as destiny. And today, I choose to live with the awareness that I’ve been holding the elements, the codes, and the story of my soul all along.
Fire to ignite me.
Air to lift me.
Water to flow through me.
Earth to ground me.
This is the truth written on my back — and the path unfolding before
