This morning began with what I thought was a perfectly timed plan — an 8 a.m. doctor’s appointment. I was proud of myself: up early, dressed, and even arriving on time (which is rare for me). I walked into the office feeling accomplished… only to discover my appointment is actually tomorrow.
At first, I could have seen it as wasted time, but the truth is, it wasn’t. Yesterday, knowing I’d be out early today, I worked ahead and finally got my bank reconciliation done — a daily task that often slips to the bottom of the pile. That small win made me realize I might want to start preparing a day in advance more often.
The real magic of the day came later.
At 1 p.m., I went to my Reiki session for the deep lower back pain I’ve been carrying. My practitioner, Camille, is a warm, intuitive soul, and I instantly felt at ease with her. She used a smooth blue calcite stone on my lower back, right at my tailbone — the area connected to the root chakra.
She told me she could feel a huge blockage there, explaining that when the root chakra is blocked, it can make it harder to create and move forward because the energy flow is restricted from the ground up. It resonated deeply — I’ve felt that creative “stuckness” in my body for a while.
After the session, Camille surprised me by gifting me the stone she had used. She wanted me to keep it as a reminder and a tool for clearing that energy whenever I needed it. Holding it in my hand, I felt both gratitude and possibility.
Then, the conversation took an unexpected turn. Camille shared that she teaches Reiki classes and said I could get an attunement — the process of opening up to channel healing energy. She told me I could even start infusing Reiki energy into my paintings. In a couple of years, she said, I could begin offering Reiki healing to others.
Before that moment, I’d never considered learning Reiki for myself. I thought it might be too complex or out of reach. But the way Camille explained it, it felt completely natural, like it was something already meant for me. She promised she’d guide me through it, and suddenly, this new door appeared in front of me — one I hadn’t even been looking for.
Before I left, Camille invited me to pull a card from her oracle deck. My hand landed on the Goat — “Act from your innate wisdom,” connected to Archangel Purimek and Pan, God of Nature. The booklet’s message stopped me in my tracks:
You are invited to look at the circumstances of your life and challenging situations from a higher perspective. This will bring you much peace and enable your innate qualities of love, loyalty and caring to develop. When you can do this, your essential wisdom will shine through. You will be acknowledged by those around you. Recognize who you are and many will be drawn to your

The timing of that message couldn’t have been more perfect. I’m in a season of putting myself — my art, my writing, my story — out into the world, and this felt like Spirit’s affirmation that I’m on the right path.
I told Camille the image on the card reminded me of Pan’s Labyrinth, a film that left a deep imprint on me years ago. She lit up and showed me a sculpture her friend had made for her husband — Pan himself, sitting on a rock, playing the pan flute, with a loyal dog at his side. The moment I saw it, I thought, I want to create something like this.
The day had started with a scheduling mix-up, yet it unfolded into healing, friendship, inspiration, and the kind of spiritual synchronicity that leaves you feeling guided. Sometimes the “wrong” day turns out to be the exact doorway you didn’t know you needed to walk through.
